We have been very pleased with HomeLife Academy. We signed up with them when we
first started homeschooling, last November. I appreciate that they really trust
the parents to do what is best for their children. They do not dictate what books
or curriculum to use, they do not require testing, and they seem open to those who
use a lifestyle of learning approach as well as folks who use a structured text
approach.

We really have been so grateful this year for all the freedom we have under your "umbrella." One of the first things my daughter asked, when I told her we'd be homeschooling, was "Will we have to be assessed a lot?" Apparently they just had endless "assessments" last year in school. It was so nice to be able to say, "Nope. No assessments."
Greetings to you and your staff, We the Taylor family would like to let you all
know that we have had a very fun and exciting month, filled with new learning experiences
and projects. I never knew how much fun it could be teaching my own children. I
see my six year old son's eyes just light up when he is having a difficult moment
in learning and then it clicks for him. "I got it. I got it!" he yells. And I have
a feeling of completion also knowing that I am doing what is right for him and his
sister. I have never seen my children so eager to learn and do their work. This
is a true testimony for me, because a year ago both of my children DID NOT like
school. It just goes to show if you can make learning fun and interesting the sky

I just wanted to let you know you are an answer to prayer. We have been homeschooling
for 12 years (since our first son was 5). This year he graduated from our home school
and it is our intent for him to attend our local community college for a year or
two. We have run into some glitches because he does not have an "official" diploma.
We are hoping and praying the Lord will work this situation out for us. In the meantime,
it has put us into a bit of a panic as to the future of our other sons. After searching
around I found your web-site. I am so thrilled to find an umbrella type school that
fits my educational philosophy and will provide "official" documentation for our
efforts. It was an added confirmation of God's awesome sovereignty and provision
in the fact that my sons will be in grade 8 and grade 10 next year and can fit into
your school. I am so very grateful for your ministry and will be applying as soon
as we finish up the necessary things for this year, and get our curriculum organized
and planned out for next year.

We use HomeLife Academy and we LOVE it! Great customer service, they have counselors,
online grade reporting, online access to your child's transcripts, very affordable
and they'll work with you in cases where you can't afford the fee. You can register
any time of the year and choose your own methods and/or curriculum. They do not
require standardized testing, which is another factor if you don't want to test
(or don't know if you want to). Every time I have ever e-mailed them about anything,
they have gone out of their way to help me! Thanks David! I think it is absolutely
great!!

I certainly was impressed with your website. Not only is the website attractive
and easy to use, it is easy to understand for those new to homeschooling, I believe.
It seems you have considered every possibility for making registration easy and
efficient. It is quite detailed. I understood the section on the law better than
anything I've read before now.

I really like the convenience of being able to go online and register, pay for my tuition, turn in grades and everything online. Also, there is a HUGE support system for you through HLA. I have always received a response to my questions within 24 hrs and the really really cool thing that I love about HLA is the personal touch. I don't want to spoil their surprises because it is just so special but believe me, if you register with them, you will see and love it too.
David and April, I just wanted to let you know that we received both emails from
you today and that I was greatly ministered to while reading them. As I said on
the phone last week, this bears witness with my spirit. I am excited and thankful

I am very impressed with HomeLife Academy's purpose and vision, the obvious dedication
to the Lord and to families, respect for parental choice in curriculum/books, and
your website grade reporting/portfoilio update features are outstanding from what
I can see already! I love what seems to be a close-knit family of homeschoolers
at your Tennessee location and although I'm down here in Florida, it blesses me
to already feel like we, too, are members of the family!
Your website is VERY well put together and your forum content is a major plus. Many
of the questions I would have had to ask were openly answered in the forums. Thanks
for making those open to the public as a way to get as much info as one might need
to make the decision to enroll at HomeLife Academy, right here and now, ONLINE--great
forward-thinking! Everything has been set in place to make it as easy as possible
for parents to continue to home educate as they wish and yet, come under the "umbrella"
of a private Christian school at an amazing low fee per year. Plus, you have a physical
presence in Lloyd, FL to boot--just 20-25 minutes away. I really enjoyed reading
about how HomeLife Academy got started and the wonderful counseling families available---how
all this is truly a ministry unto the Lord. HomeLife is TRULY Christ-centered and
that's the most important part of all! I just wanted to take a moment to share my

Dear David, Thank you and everyone involved for Home Life Academy and the opportunities
that it provides. The "fire" has been lit and is burning out of control!
My son has become actively involved in the community and local government, proved
an answer wrong in a geometry text, taught his friends how to budget, filed his
own taxes, learned to develop a portfolio, write an essay and constantly asks,"
Mom, did you know..." He has matured before my eyes. He even visited his old
high school principal to inquire about the status of his transcripts. He is currently
helping his friends study for their Gateway exams. While most parents would roll
their eyes at a house full of teenage boys, my heart does leaps. We have had very
interesting debates take place under my roof ranging from the teaching of Darwinism
to which car rims are the best quality. You have offered the opportunity for my
son to grow to his full potential and for that I am very grateful to you and everyone

Hello David, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your labor of love with Home
Life Academy. Now that I'm settled into our new TN home, I'm slowly trying to pull
life together which means actually getting organized with Homeschooling. LOL. I've
been taking a bit more time perusing the website and appreciate all the time and
prayer that's obviously gone into HLA. (I worked in a church school for several
years before being a mom so I'm not unaware of the work!) It's nice to know that
someone else has already figured out everything so my frazzled brain doesn't have
to.

I talked to Home Life Academy today for a long time. I was impressed. I am enrolling her tomorrow and she'll start at home next week. I was so encouraged and uplifted talking to David. I could feel the Holy Spirit was in this. What a blessing! This is only one of the many praises I have heard about HLA! I have been singing my own of you since that first phone conversation about this time last year when I first enrolled my children at HLA. I too KNEW that God was in it. What peace, what joy that I and my friends have being a part of such a HONORABLE and EXCELLENT ministry!! Several weeks ago, a friend/relative of mine was being pressured to send her son back to public school. She called HLA and spoke with April. Then she called me BUBBLING OVER with excitement and peace. She was even "preaching"! She was soooooo encouraged!!
Homeschooling has been a fantastic experience for Kevin and me. We have gotten so
much closer as a family as we have studied. We have had time for family worship,
family talk time, meals together and so much more since we controlled the schedule,
field trips, curriculum. I know thinking back that if it hadn't been for all the
wonderful caring people like you at HLA I would have given up before we got started
because the computer part of it was so overwhelming for me. You stepped in and made
everything so easy that first semester and I was ready to roll. I can not thank
you enough for everything.
