Reporting Archway Grades

Fall grades – due January 15. 

Spring grades – due June 15. 

Summer grades  – If continuing during the summer, are due no later than Sept. 15.

Following are some guidelines to use when reporting grades.

  • Grades should be entered into Applecore.
  • Students have until the course end date to complete their courses. 
  • Fall grades will be based on any work that has been done since beginning their courses. (see note below for additional information)
  • Reporting Grades 3-8 – report the current point-in-time grade for each course based on the information in Archway.
  • Reporting – High school students – report point in time grades and issue credits based on the following guidelines.
    • 1 Credit (10 units) courses:
      • If the course shows less than 25% completed, report the current grade and leave the number of credits blank.
      • If the course shows 25% completed but less than 50%, report the current grade and issue .25 credits.
      • If the course shows 50% completed, report the current grade and issue .5 credits.
      • If the course is 100% completed, report the current grade and issue 1 credit.
      • Do not report 1 credit unless the course is 100% complete.
      • Remaining partial credit will be given again in the spring and summer following the above guidelines.
    • .5 Credit (5 units) courses:
      • If the course shows less than 50% completed, report the current grade and leave the number of credits blank.
      • If the course shows 50% completed, report the current grade and issue .25 credits.
      • If the course is 100% completed, report the current grade and issue .5 credits.
      • Do not report .5 credit unless the course is 100% complete.
      • Remaining partial credit will be given again in the spring and summer following the above guidelines.

Note 

  • HLA will review transcripts for accuracy and will make necessary corrections if needed in order to reflect the correct Archway progress and grade.
  • Students who were enrolled in another school in the fall and did not start Archway until Christmas break will not report grades until June.
  • Students who transferred to HLA mid-semester will report fall grades. However, High school grades may be combined with any grades received from the previous school to reflect one fall semester grade.
